-12:30 - "Les Compagnons de la Joie au Village"

After the war Jeunesse Agricole Catholique started 'Coupes de la Joie' (Cups of Joy) across France, designed to give such means of expression as song or dance to a rural population of young people who had rediscovered their freedom.

Very soon a nucleus of young people formed around Abbot Buge , who then founded the group Compagnons de la Joie au Village, under the rules of the 1901 law for associations, and was recognised with the title 'youth and sports',  renewed in 2004.

During the following years the folklore group diversified and expanded its activities in order to adapt to different styles of performance, for which it is much in demand. Today its annual program is designed around a chosen theme such as: sowing, the harvest, festival of bread, wine sellers, the May planting, women's markets...

The Compagnons de la Joie au Village will take part, will offer a mass, will give a presentation, and will represent France in the parade of nations.
