Deleyaman excels in creating atmosphere conducive to daydreaming, abandonment and escape.
Use of the Armenian doudouk, which is characteristic of the group contributes to the climate comes from deep their music easily classifiable. Types darkwave, ethers, or alternative world are sometimes used to describe the universe Deleyaman.
The five musicians of the group are of diverse backgrounds and nationalities (American, Swedish, Armenian, French). Deleyaman creates an alternative music all his own, some aspects have often been compared to artists of the famous English label 4AD (Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins).
To date, the group has four albums including the latest "Fourth, part one" is released on TTO records in the U.S. and in Equilibrium Music in Europe.
Deleyaman will be in concert Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Anako, Paris to present the titles of their new album.
